NTA will announce JEE Main 2024 cutoff along with the announcement of session 2 results. JEE Main cutoff is the minimum percentile score that candidates have to score to qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced. JEE Main cutoff will be different for various categories. Candidates must note that there are NO minimum marks or cutoffs that students need to obtain to pass the JEE Main exam. The score that candidates get in JEE Main decides the All India Rank and admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is purely based on the All India Rank. The JEE Main cutoff is only for appearing in JEE Advanced.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Mains application form 2024 in December. As JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in two sessions in January and April, separate application forms will be released for both sessions.
For session 1, NTA will start the JEE Main registration in December while for session 2, the application forms will be released in March. However, candidates will have the option to apply for both sessions 1 and 2 during the first session registration.
Applying for JEE Main is a multi-stage process

Candidates applying for JEE Main 2024 must have the following documents
Candidates can apply for JEE Main with the help of the below-mentioned step-by-step guide.
Step 1- Open the official website
Step 2- Click on the “JEE Main 2024 Registration” link
Step 3- Fill in the required details and click on the “Submit” button to complete the registration
After the completion of JEE Main registration process, candidates will receive an email and message in their registered email ID and mobile phone number with details of the application form number and password. Candidates will need to keep safe/save the details of registration.
Step 4- After completion of registration, candidates will be redirected to the page for filling out the detailed application form. In this step, candidates must provide educational qualifications, parents' details, address of communication and permanent address, and exam center preference.
Step 5- Upload scanned images of passport-size photographs and signature
Step 6- Pay the application fee
Step 7- The application form will be automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees.
Candidates need to download the filled application form and take its printout. It is advised that candidates keep safe the print copy of the application form until the completion of the admission process.

NTA provides the facility to edit/modify the information filled in the application form. In case candidates mistakenly fill incorrect information in the application form or want to modify any information, they can use the facility of JEE Main 2024 application form correction.
JEE Mains application form correction 2024 will be available after the compilation of the registration process. JEE Main correction window 2024 will be available at jeemain.nta.ni.c.in. All registered candidates will be allowed to make corrections to their filled application form by login. Candidates have to note that only certain information like category, address, photo, and signature were open for corrections during the facility.
Candidates should download and take a printout of their JEE Main application form 2024 after making the changes.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2024 admit card a week before the exam. Admit cards will be available for download online on the JEE Main website. Details about exam date and time, exam centre address, and candidates basic details like name, photo, signature and exam day instructions will be mentioned in the admit card.
The NTA JEE Main admit card 2023 will be available only in online mode at the JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. It is advised that the candidates must review all the information on their admit card after downloading it. Candidates must get in touch with the examination authority in case of any discrepancy in the admit card. Candidates must carry a photo ID card along with the JEE Main 2024 admit card to the examination hall. Candidates need to download and take the printout of their JEE Main 2024 admit card.

City intimation slip is released by the NTA a few days before the admit cards. Exam city slip, also called city intimation slip mentions details of exam city and exam date of candidates. Candidates can download their city intimation slip JEE 2024 from jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023 login.

The NTA has released the official JEE Mains mock test free online 2024 on the website nta.nic.in. Candidates preparing for the exam can practice NTA JEE Main mock tests online for free. The level of mock tests available in the NTA portal is exactly similar to the JEE Main exam which helps in evaluating one performance and preparation for the exam in a real manner.

National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2024 answer key after the completion of the exam. The answer key will be available for download online on the JEE Main website. For session 1, the answer key will be available in the last week of January while for the second session, NTA will release the answer key in the last week of April.
NTA releases the answer key to let candidates know the correct answers to the question asked in the exam. In case candidates have objections to any answer provided by the NTA, they can challenge the answer key upon which an expert team reviews the challenge to arrive at a final answer.

NTA also releases the candidate response sheet along with the answer key. JEE Main response sheet is the copy of recorded responses that candidate mark during the exam. Candidates can use their response sheet along with the answer key to calculate their scores in the exam. The response sheet will be available for download on the candidate login page.
The result of JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will be declared in February. NTA will announce the result online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will need to login on the website using their application number and date of birth for checking their scorecards. The result will mention details of percentile scores obtained by the candidate in each subject and the aggregate percentile score. The result for both sessions will be declared separately.

The participating institutes of JEE Main are the colleges that participate in the JoSAA counselling for admission in various Engineering, Architecture and Planning courses. Besides JEE Main participating institutes, many colleges offer admission based on the scores of JEE Main but are not a part of JoSAA. Such institutes organise their counselling process for admission.
There are a total of 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 19 other GFTIs that participate in JoSAA counselling. The number of seats in these institutes can be checked below. Other institutes which offer admission based on JEE Main scores are from the states which do not conduct their entrance exams for engineering admission and include U.P., Bihar, M.P., Delhi, among others.
